Nominate a Heritage Tree in PoCo

Thursday, August 4 2016

The City of PoCo is launching a program called PoCo Heritage Trees. As part of this, they are building a database of potential heritage trees throughout the City (~50 treasures have been identified so far). The City plans to have tree icons included on the interactive PoCo Map. Clicking on the icon will bring up tree name, location, photo, and notes of interest. A guided tree walk as part of a larger event is planned for the early fall.

Here is the link to nominate a Heritage Tree. Criteria include: Age, Size, Rarity, Cultural/Historical significance, Aesthetic value, and/or Botanical/ecological significance.
