In the past we have hiked up Post Creek (which flows into the Chilliwack River) to Lindeman and Greendrop lakes. The hike to Flora Peak has the same starting point as the one to the lakes, but instead of heading up Post Creek, climbs its eastern divide. Although, on this strenuous hike, we will be aiming to attain Flora Peak’s 1952-m (6405-ft) summit, which offers superb views of Chilliwack Lake, river valley, and surrounding peaks, there is the possibility of settling for a somewhat lower viewpoint with similar prospects. Roundtrip distance to the saddle is 10-12 km (6.2-7.5 mi) with an elevation gain of 1135 m (3724 ft). To reach the peak we will need to gain an additional 182 m (600 ft).
