MONTHLY MEETING: Highlights of the 2014 Christmas Bird Count & New Video from Watershed Watch

Tuesday, January 13 2015 at 7:30 PM

At this meeting, we will have a slide show of the results of the Christmas Bird Count in the TriCities area, and how this Count’s results compare with data collected over the past 21 years. There was a photography competition as part of this year’s Count, and the submissions will be viewed and voted on. Silliest photo usually wins!

At the same meeting, Dr. Craig Orr will present a short video recently produced for Watershed Watch Salmon Society on how salmon fisheries can be made more sustainable by being “stock-selective." This way, consumers would eat more fish harvested from healthy runs, and so protect the threatened runs in BC.

In the church hall of Como Lake United Church, corner of Marmont Avenue and King Albert Street in Coquitlam. Free and all are welcome. For a map, please click here. For more information, please call 604-936-4108 or 604-461-3864.
